UPS National Master Agreement

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has released the final version of the UPS National Master Agreement that is ready to print.

We’ve uploaded it below, but you can also locate this agreement here for easier, future reference.

When the books are published and ready for distribution, we will update with details.

Americold Contract Passes by 95%

On May 17, 2019, the Americold Contract was approved by 95%. 81% of the eligible membership voted in the process. The new language will deliver many new improvements, including an immediate raise in pay.

We will update once the contract books are available in addition to posting the ratified language on the website (it is available as the tentative agreement here).

UPS Contract Takes Effect Nationwide

On Monday, April 29th, the new UPS National Master Agreement and Regional Supplementals took effect.

Per the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), all retroactive backpay will be made available 6 to 8 weeks from that date.

The bulk of questions the IBT has received regarding the implementation of this new language involves part-time improvements. Please refer to the following guide:

We will be receiving new contract books soon and will update when those arrive. If you would like to review the 2018-2023 National Master Agreement and Southern Region Supplemental, the links and current PDFs of that language are listed below:

Legislate to change our fate.

Drumroll, please…!

We mentioned in the previous post we have some big news to share: Last week Teamsters Local 767 presented the lead case at the National Grievance Panel for the Premium Services Committee. In a nationwide, precedent-setting decision, Business Agent Andrew Reddell successfully defended and defined language upholding Article 43 guidelines.

Incorrectly, the company maintained an employee is only eligible to receive 6th and 7th punch pay for work performed outside of a complete sleeper job if that job is the employee’s bid position. This meant many workers, who are covering those routes and still reporting for 6th and 7th punches, were not being paid properly according to the Local’s interpretation of the contract.

Teamsters Local 767 and Business Agent Reddell argued this unjust practice before the panel and received a positive ruling, which will change the way UPS pays its drivers nationwide in these circumstances. All work performed outside of a complete sleeper job is definitively considered a 6th/7th punch.

We’d like to congratulate Business Agent Andrew Reddell on this major victory–a job very well done, benefitting thousands upon thousands of Teamster Brothers and Sisters across the country.
